There will be times that you can be so busy, and you have to ask the kids to help make their own snacks, you may want to prepare some quick snacks for them, but then, that will not provide them enough nutritional value as you would like.
Rather than storing up some costly pre-packed snacks (which mostly contain some unhealthy ingredients) that your kids can easily and quickly grab, why not teach them to make healthful and easy snacks for themselves? If your kids are old enough to make use of a stove by themselves, they can learn to cook nutritious snacks that will keep them alert and healthy. This is good compared to eating a bag of chips or grabbing some cookies.
Here are some suggested easy snacks for kids to make:
1. French Toast
French toast is quick and easy to prepare healthy snack. Your kids can eat this with fruit or pure maple syrup, or peanut butter.
Here’s how to prepare:
4 slices whole grain bread
1 tablespoon butter

1/8 teaspoon sea salt
In a small bowl, break the egg, add the salt and milk. Mix well using a fork. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Soak both sides of the whole grain bread into the mixture. Cook both sides of the bread in the skillet until it turns golden brown.
Scrambled eggs are best either as snack, lunch, breakfast, or dinner. Eggs are rich in protein and nutrients that your kids require for their active life.
You’ll just need 3 eggs, sea salt, milk or water, butter and a dash of pepper.
What to do:
Break eggs in a bowl. Add in pepper, salt, and milk. Mix everything up and then fry in the skillet over low heat. Cook until the eggs are firm.
