Healthy Apple Snack – Open Faced Applewiches

What You Need:

1 TBSP butter
4 slices whole wheat bread
1 apple, cored, peeled and sliced
1 TBSP cinnamon

How to Make It:

Place the oven temperature on the broil setting.
Spread each piece of bread evenly with the butter.
Place the buttered bread on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Place the apple slices on each piece of bread.
Sprinkle the tops of each piece with the cinnamon.
Place in the broiler 1 1/2minute or until a light golden brown.

4 Servings

If you would like this to have a little sweeter taste instead of using just the cinnamon make cinnamon sugar.  Just add 1 tsp. cinnamon to 2 tsp. sugar and mix well.
