Simple Snacks

You don’t need to be in the league with Guida de Laurenti or Mario Batali to make good and sumptuous simple snacks. Having snacks, whether on your own or with others, doesn’t need to stress you out. Here are some simple snacks that you can enjoy anytime of the day.

Heavy Snack- this is needed especially if you’re already starving or if you miss one of the three important meals of the day. Heavy snacking is also recommended if you know that you can’t eat your lunch or dinner on time. A serving of bowtie pasta in tomato based sauce can be considered as a heavy snack. So is steak sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. A slice or two of apple cinnamon pie is also a heavy snack.

Light Snack- this is the type of snacks that are eaten to sustain and keep your energy up until the next meal. Oatmeal biscuits, pita bread and fruit dips are examples of simple, light snacks.

You can prepare your own snack or buy it at cafes, restaurants or even at the supermarket. Although it’s more advisable to prepare your own food, even your snacks, it is also okay to buy what you’re craving for at the different stalls, kiosks or diners near your place.

The important thing that you have to remember is that snacks are good for you. It’s good for your health and good for your energy. Even if you’re on a diet, you are required to eat snacks. That’s how important this meal-between-meals is.
